New app for parents of deaf children

The National Deaf Children’s Society has launched a new app for parents of deaf children to support their child with expert guidance anytime, anywhere. The app entitled ‘My NDCS’ is available for iOS and Android users and members of the NDCS, membership is free.

The app allows parents to:

  • Find expert information and resources tailored to where you live and your child’s age.
  • Read stories from other families and deaf role models or use the glossary to look up key terms you might come across.
  • Record key moments in your child’s journey using our journal, reflect on your feelings and mark milestones. You can also write notes during your child's appointments or jot things down to share with professionals later.
  • Find out about events where you can get advice from our team of experts and meet other families of deaf children.
