Your chance to represent schools on the NEW Whole School SEND Programme Board

News - 30 May 2018

As you know, nasen recently secured funding from the DfE to deliver a new project which looks to support the workforce in SEND. The project will build on existing work undertaken by Whole School SEND who are now recruiting members for the project programme board.

The role of the Programme Board is to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the Key Performance Indicators as set out within the DfE Contract over the course of the 2018/19 and 2019/20 financial years.
This board will review key targets, and determine whether the contract is on target to be delivered on time and within agreed costs set out by the DfE.
It will meet four times a year, and will be organised and hosted by WSS (Whole School SEND) at their offices in London Borough. All meeting and travel expenses are met by WSS.
We are asking for nominations for the three seats on the board that will represent ‘schools from the community of practice’. Nominations are open to all types of school and we will accept self-nominations or nominations of others.  To submit a nomination, please send details of the name of the individual who is being nominated as well as the organisation they represent to Dr Adam Boddison no later than midday on Monday 4th June.
In the event that we receive more nominations than seats on the board, nominees will be asked to provide a short written statement outlining their suitability for the board and the knowledge, skills and experience they will bring.  Please note that the first programme board meeting is scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday 20th June in London.
