£50 million worth of additional funding for SEND announced

On Tuesday 29th May, the Government announced £50 million worth of funding would be made available for the creation of additional school places and facilities for children and young people with SEND.

This funding is in addition to the extra £215 million fund announced last and sits within the context of the continued pressure on specialist provision. The aim is to ensure that every child and young person has access to a good school place regardless of need.
