Standards for supporting people with PMLD published

News - 30 Apr 2019

The Core and Essential Service Standards are designed to improve the lives and life experiences of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

People with PMLD require their families, carers, involved professionals and friends to advocate for them. This document was developed by a group of family members, education/health/social care professionals and academics to create a means for commissioners of services to work closely with service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for people being supported.
