draft support staff policy
This is a very timely policy given the current debate on the role of support staff.
This policy is concerned with all those who work directly with children and young people in education settings who do not have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) but who nevertheless support the education and well being of those with additional support needs. They may have a range of professional qualifications but their principle purpose is to support the process of teaching and learning.
